Amazon seems to have some serious expansion plans for Touch Kindle eReader.
After only a week quietly began shipping to any international instrument, a new report suggests that online store is now planning to launch a Kindle Touch in Japan this April.
According to a popular Japanese newspaper quoted engadget, eReader will land less than 20,000 yen ($ 260) and will rely on NTT DoCoMo for 3G access to the online Kindle store.
While the price of Japanese Touch Kindle is much higher than its U.S. counterpart ($ 260 vs. $ 99), Amazon hopes the 3G capabilities will make it popular with consumers.
We're a bit skeptical but we'll wait to see how this one plays out.
